Wellness Visit

For those wishing to maintain gains made in therapy once skilled care is no longer required. Sessions will focus on guided exercises and education for maintenance.

Jennifer Dabbs, PT, DPT, OCS, AOEAS is co-owner of Body Wellness. She has been a practicing physical therapy in the outpatient orthopedic setting for over fifteen years. Throughout her career Jennifer has specialized in treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal and women’s health conditions and has developed an expertise in working with complex spinal and pelvic disorders. Jennifer takes both a pragmatic and eclectic approach to her practice, always drawing from a number of different approaches to formulate the best plan of care for the individual needs of her patients.

Jennifer received her B.S. in Clinical Exercise Physiology from Boston University, a Master’s in Physical Therapy from the George Washington University and a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Montana. She is a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist and a certified Pilates for Rehabilitation instructor. Jennifer has completed post-graduate work in Australia, where she received a Certificate of Orthopedic Manual Therapy through Manual Concepts. In addition to her educational background, Jennifer draws from her experience as a competitive collegiate athlete, playing lacrosse at Boston University and later coaching at the University of California, Berkeley, to further enhance her treatment of athletes of all levels. She currently lives in Washington, DC with her husband, Mike, and children, Jackson, Sadie and Curtis.

Lauren Trosch, PT, DPT, OCS treats a variety of patients with orthopedic and pelvic health impairments including pelvic pain, sexual dysfunction, and bowel and bladder dysfunction. She also has experience working with the peri and post-natal population. Throughout her career, Lauren has focused on continuing her education and in 2016, the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties recognized Lauren as an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS). She is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) Orthopedic and Women’s Health and Sections.

Lauren graduated from Bucknell University with a B.A. in Spanish and Environmental Studies and was also a member of the Bucknell Women’s Softball Team. She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Delaware.

Stephanie Coleman, PT, DPT, OCS, AOEAS is co-owner of Body Wellness DC. She has been a practicing physical therapist for close to 20 years, focusing on orthopedics, manual therapy, and ergonomics. Stephanie completed both her Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science and her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from The George Washington University, and she earned her Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Montana. Stephanie is a board-certified clinical specialist in orthopedic physical therapy, and a certified advanced ergonomics assessment specialist.

Stephanie is passionate about working with her clients to find movement and ergonomic solutions that help them reach their full potential, and treating orthopedic conditions, especially spinal dysfunction. Stephanie has served as an adjunct faculty member at The George Washington University Program in Physical therapy, and is a volunteer and board member at the Little Workers of the Sacred Heart pro bono physical therapy clinic in Washington, DC. When Stephanie is not working she enjoys spending time at home in Washington, DC with her husband Tony and their three children.
